Great article! Sounds like you guys had a blast. Hiking with children can be difficult, but your kids clearly had a great time, so kudos to you.

I definitely share your frustration with finding decent gear for kids. A friend of mine (also an avid outdoors person) recommended a website called Tiny Trekker that specializes primarily in quality outdoor gear for kids. I've made a few purchases since discovering them and I've been very satisfied with the products and service, so I'd highly recommend giving them a try next time you're in the market.

Keep the great reviews coming, and maybe one day we'll cross paths on the trail.

Those are two great comments! If you can get the kids excited about hiking, it makes everything much easier. I am looking forward to your next trip report.
