Wakefield Wanderings is a site dedicated to camping, lightweight backpacking, and family travelling for ‘normal people’. Far too many books are sites are out there for the hardcore, do-nothing-else person. What about the rest of us, with lives, jobs, families, and responsibilities? Should we, as ‘normal people’, not have access to resources helpful in our pursuit of the outdoors?
Here is such a resource. I will be posting gear reviews, trip reports, travel ideas, and much more. So sit back, enjoy the read, and get out there and enjoy the outdoors. It’s a wonderful creation out there that we have available to enjoy. Perhaps our family will meet yours along the trail one day.
